Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The senior level terminal planning consultant plays an important role in planning and directing complex technical analyses for a variety of projects.  Primary work focuses on leading the development of terminal concept plans, facility requirements and space analyses, presenting recommended findings to client and stakeholder groups, and documenting study methodologies and results in technical reports.  Project types vary across several practice areas, including terminal plans, terminal area plans, master plans, airfield layouts, parking facility plans, and sustainability studies.  

 

Qualifications:
We are seeking self-motivated professionals with:

  • An undergraduate degree in architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-8 years of architecture, or planning experience, in a lead role
  • Aptitude in AutoCAD 2010 or newer, xref file structure, paperspace layouts, and plotting
  • Ability to manage a team of multiple sub-consultants
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and project management skills
  • Superior analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong spatial analysis and graphic capabilities (PowerPoint and Photoshop preferred; InDesign and Illustrator experience a plus)
  • Interest in airports and aviation
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients
  • Collaborative and team-oriented as well as highly resourceful and self-directed
  • 3D modeling experience preferred but not required (i.e., Revit, 3D AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp)

 

Location: Opportunities are available in our Burlingame, California (San Francisco area) office and may involve travel to client sites, with more travel opportunities commensurate with increased responsibilities.
