We are recruiting for an experienced Aviation cost planner to be a key part of our well established Aviation Team. You will have proven skills and experience preparing and analysing capital investment and heavy maintenance cost plans at master planning, feasibility, concept and scheme design stages on a wide range of complex aviation / airport infrastructure and systems including enabling works, civil engineering, buildings, utilities, surface and sub–surface access and airfield works and systems. Working collaboratively with the Project Manager and HOCP you will have the ability to assess a business case, challenge the completeness of project scope, identify key issues such as risk and opportunities, operational & logistical constraints, phasing, system integration, gap analysis of interfaces / interdependencies, critique the age / condition of the existing asset, define and record the scope, design performance and any assumptions & exclusions. Job Description: Timely production of 'Order of Magnitude' elemental cost plans and with basis of pricing and scope assumptions, and where necessary detailed elemental cost estimates, structured within standard & bespoke formats. Analysing project cost data and developing base cost unit rates and percentage uplifts for indirect / soft costs. Reviewing and analysing Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) capital investment programmes and report on reasonableness and confidence levels of the overall budgets. Identifying scope deficiencies and developing ‘Information Required’ documentation. Verifying any major changes in scope, risk, content or timings and reporting to HOCP. Analysing project cost data and developing relevant benchmarking data, including identifying sources, location factors, inflation & foreign exchange fluctuations and necessary adjustments required for a consistent approach. Providing robust cost advice to the Project Directors and Managers to achieve best value solutions. Actively supporting the development of a culture within the Aviation team that promotes learning is shared between functions and projects. Providing input to the development of a common information and knowledge base within the cost planning team.
